Sustainable Renovation and Construction of Building in Slovenia

On May 21, INFINITE partners joined the the second conference of the Hub for Sustainable Renovation and Construction of Buildings in Slovenia.

The conference was titled “Towards Sustainable Buildings through New Practices” and highlighted a clear message: sustainable renovation must be at the core of national development strategies. This is exactly what the INFINITE project is doing, and it was the perfect place to present the progress on the Slovenian demo case, the multi-apartment retrofit in Ravne na Koroškem.

In a session focused on innovative practices, Jure Vetršek (IRI UL) and Gregor Sagadin (Stanovanjsko podjetje d.o.o.) shared how the demo has been made renovated thanks to the prefabricated, multifunctional wooden panels integrating several technologies.
Moreover, the project includes the addition of a new wooden storey, increasing housing density while demonstrating the potential of modular solutions.
The Slovenian demo building now serves as a concrete example of how industrialised renovation can support energy efficiency, circularity, and better living standards.
