Renovation Days: a heartfelt thank you!

The third edition of Renovation Days in Milan has come to an end, and with it, the final conference of the INFINITE project.
These have been three days rich in ideas, perspectives, and encounters, thanks to the wonderful organisation of EDERA, the support of the European Façade Network, and the energy of a community that truly believes in transforming the way Europe renovates its buildings.

But what made this moment truly meaningful were the people behind INFINITE.

Let’s start with Martino Gubert, our project coordinator, for leading INFINITE with vision, dedication, and a remarkable ability to connect ideas, people, and technologies.

Next come Diego Tamburrini (Eurac Research) and Marino Fanti and Gabriele Zini (Fanti Group) for the work on the italian demo: a clear example of how industrialised renovation can be high-quality, fast, and replicable.

If we talk about the Italian demo, we cannot but thank and congratulate to Casa Spa, winners of the Top Retrofit Award at Renovation Days: this is well-deserved recognition for embracing innovation and helping shape a new model of sustainable social housing.

Ans to VORTICE and Sunage for providing the technologies that power the energy retrofit solutions tested in INFINITE, OneTeam, provider of the digital solutions and BIM workflows that supported the entire process, and to Bouygues Construction for being part of the process with insight and expertise.

The list would go on and is really endless, so thanks to all partners who couldn’t attend in person but joined us digitally: your presence, commitment, and contributions were felt throughout the conference.

Though INFINITE is approaching its formal conclusion, the journey continues: measurements in the demo buildings are ongoing, and the impact of this work is only beginning to unfold. With over 700 participants, this event is confirming that the future of renovation is industrialised, digitalised, and collaborative.

Thanks to the magnificent organisation by EDERA, who succeeded in bringing together an extraordinary range of stakeholders from across the renovation ecosystem: researchers, companies, institutions, students, and innovators all in the same place.

A special acknowledgment to EFN – European Façade Network, whose conference brought new perspectives on façade innovation, widening the lens through which we understand and design the building envelopes of the future.

Here’s to the next chapter of Europe’s renovation wave!
