Mid-term conference @REbuild 2023: join us there!

The mid-term conference of H2020 INFINITE project is hosted in the frame of the 2023 edition of REbuild, the first Italian event dedicated to sustainable innovation of the built environment, which will take place on Tuesday, May 9th, in Riva del Garda (Trento).

This will be the setting to look at the challenges for widespread retrofitting, highlighted recently by the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) on energy efficiency, which aims to reach a decarbonised building stock by 2050.

Which strategies are needed for widespread retrofit of Sthe European buildings, and how can the industrialization of retrofit processes make possible to set up fast, cost-effective intervention systems, always looking at the environmental impact and energy consumption?

In the frame of H2020 INFINITE mid-term conference, two consecutive sessions are organized as follows.

Conference: Off-site retrofit for an inclusive energy transition

From 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm

Panel on the Industrialized Deep Renovation European context, looking at challenges and opportunities for the adoption of off-site retrofit technologies, drawing from the experience of INFINITE, project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, and its sister EU projects, and the Energiesprong Movement.

Speakers:

English simultaneous translation will be provided.

Workshop: New business models of off-site redevelopment

From 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm

Which business models can ensure an effective energy transition for residential property? The challenge of massively upgrading existing stock, simultaneously acting on areas beyond the single building, requires diversified and scalable approaches to intervention, together with new technologies. Or rather, it requires the massive adoption of technologies and methods that already exist, but are not yet widespread, such as off-site technologies, which guarantee reduced times and costs even for large and very large-scale projects.

The workshop analyses some successful technical-economic models already in use abroad, with a discussion led by leading players in finance, energy and real estate, focusing on highlighting and enhancing the main environmental, economic and social benefits brought by deep off-site redevelopments, compared to traditional approaches.
With:

The session will be held in Italian.

After the workshop, a network dinner will be organized, providing a great opportunity to connect with building and construction players.
