Now on TV: INFINITE Façades

Research about energy efficiency in buildings isn’t typically in the spotlight, and it is a rare thing to see prefabricated façades on TV. That’s why we jumped at the chance to discuss our project and the technologies we are developing on “Linea Verde Life”, TV show on the Italian channel RaiUno.

Stefano Avesani, senior researcher at Eurac Research and coordinator of the INFINITE project, joined Roberto Modena of Rubner Timber Engineering in the setting of the innovative Rubner factory in Brixen to chat with RAI journalist Monica Caradonna.

They explored how integrating technologies and prefabrication can speed up building renovations, innovate the construction industry, and make our buildings more efficient and sustainable.

The highlight of our contribution was the showing of the INFINITE integrated façades with the connected VORTICE ventilation machine. The custom-designed façades have high performance, great energy efficiency, and reduced environmental impact.

For those who understand Italian, the show is available online at this link.
