Industrialised deep renovation demonstrated at the Italian INFINITE demo building
The Italian demo building demonstrates how industrialised, multifunctional building envelope elements can be used to deeply renovate existing buildings and support Europe’s decarbonisation goals.
A dedicated video of the demo building is now available, presenting the INFINITE renovation approach and the technologies implemented.
The video explains
- how prefabricated envelope elements are produced in a controlled factory environment and then installed on site, enabling higher quality, reduced material waste, and faster renovation works
- the five industrialised envelope kits developed within INFINITE, including solutions for energy and fresh air supply integrated into the façade, building‑integrated photovoltaics, solar thermal systems, and smart windows for daylight and overheating control
- the adaptable building management system, which collects and manages data from all technologies to monitor performance and optimise operation.
The Italian demo provides real performance data to assess the technical and economic viability of INFINITE solutions and support their replication across Europe.
